From the anxiety of teachers...

The team from Nguyen Cong Tru high school made earliest appearance at the contest venue of Phu Nhuan high school. Right after the registration, they started to test robot on the training ground. Teacher Pham Quang Minh, leader of Nguyen Cong Tru team could not hide his anxiety. He only breathed with relief when his teammates completed their test perfectly. Minh said: "I feel sorry for not checking my email on time so that my students can prepare for the competition better. Luckily, everything has gone smoothly. I'm so happy!”.

Teacher and Tan Tuc High School student after success competition

The team from Tan Tuc High School team was similar to their Nguyen Cong Tru competitor. They also experienced intense moment in the first round. Ms Duong Ai Trinh, IT teacher of Tan Tuc High School team said: "We come from Binh Chanh, a remote area of Ho Chi Minh City. So there are a lot of disadvantages, especially the lack of equipment to practice at home. However, thanks to the passion for robot, our students spent most of their time at school, even until 8-9 pm to practice together. That is the reason why we are very happy today”.

... to the enormous confidence of the students

At SaigonTech's SRobot Extension Competition, we met a lot of young students who expressed their bewilderment for participating in such a huge contest for the first time. However, hidden in their eyes was a strong belief in their efforts that their team would pull off a victory after months of practice.

Ms Trang Anh Thu, a member from Ernst Thalmann High School team said with sincerity: "Watching other teams’ good performance made me worried. But I am very pleased because my team has done with the first round. I am confident that my team will win".

Nguyen Truong Giang, student of Tran Dai Nghia High School (District 1) and member of last champion team harbored a similar feeling. For the 2018 contest, Giang used his bounty from the last competition to buy a robot. However, due to his schedule, Truong Giang could not spend a lot of time on robot so he did not play well on the first round. Things were so hard for Giang that he even thought of giving up. However, his efforts eventually paid off.

The pride of parents

In the SRobot Extension Competition 2017 - 2018, participants were not on their own. They received a lot of support from their teachers, friends and parents. A typical example is the American team with twins Tran Le Duy An and Tran Le Thien An, who always had their parents on their side.

The parents of Thien An and Duy An expressed their pride on their children as well as their satisfaction with SRobot Contes. For them, SRobot is not only a contest but also a meaningful playground for students who love technology. It is also a place for children to discover their own ability and nurture their childhood dream.
